Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum

Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum is one of the oldest museums in Siberia and Russia. He played an important role in the development of the cultural potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Its collections served as the basis for the creation of new cultural objects.

The museum collection reflects the history of the region from ancient times to the present. Of particular value are the collections on archaeology, ethnography, paleontology, natural science, having world significance. Among the rarities are the epistolary heritage of the Decembrists, the memoirs of V.I. Surikov, the collection of church antiquity, the funds of G.V. Yudin, V.P. Astafiev, D.A. Hvorostovsky, etc. The museum contains gifts of the governors of the Krasnoyarsk Territory V. Zubov, A. Lebed, A. Khloponin. Every year the museum collection is increased by 2-3 thousand units of storage.
