Evening Amsterdam: Red Light District and Chinatown, 18 +

If you want to get acquainted with the life of the most famous quarter of Amsterdam and see Amsterdam not from the parade entrance,

If you want to open the veil of this amazing city and learn about its shadowy side,

If you want to feel the atmosphere of the neighborhood, where you can do everything that is forbidden elsewhere by law,

This tour is for you.

We will begin our journey through the night city from Dam Square – the heart of the ancient and modern city. Walk through the most interesting streets of the Red Light District and its lush places. We will see how amazingly the Old Church and the famous monuments to prostitutes, a kindergarten and “windows” – the workplaces of the priestesses of love coexist in this quarter. We will walk through Chinatown, once the most criminal and now the safest place in the city. We will admire the most beautiful channels with gleams of red and purple lights.

I will talk about window prostitution, the sex industry, the drug trade and attitude of the Dutch, organized crime and internecine struggle, police measures and the “world’s best” prison.

On this tour you will learn:

• Why is this the name of the neighborhood all over the world, and what the locals call it?
• By what laws and unspoken rules life is arranged in the quarter;
• Why is prostitution in Amsterdam a window?
• How the work of representatives of the oldest profession is organized;
• Famous representatives of the oldest profession in medieval Amsterdam and Amsterdam of our days;
• urban legends associated with these places;
• Interesting facts and shocking statistics about the life of the inhabitants of the quarter;
• Who are the heroes of criminal Amsterdam?
