Kursk State Puppet Theatre

The culturally developed city of Kursk boasts a dozen theaters. I would like to separately note the Kursk State Puppet Theater, located on the street. Radishcheva. During the war, in 1944, the troupe of actors: Z. Mshastaya, I. Emelyanov, N. Bogolyubskaya, Z. Kamenev, V. Mikhatova organized the first puppet theater. This composition, headed by A. Mshastim, had no dolls, no special scenery, no permanent premises, but had the goal of "growing" a real theater.

The performances "At the behest of the pike" and "Gavrosh" were the firstborn of novice actors.

Since 1965, the theater was moved to the building of the former gymnasium, where it is now. Since 1970, the troupe of the theater successfully puts the first performances for adults: "To the Third Roosters", "Precious Galatea", "A Foreigner in the World" and begins to tour in Ukraine, Belarus, Tyumen, North Ossetia. With the arrival of the new director, in 1987, A. Kondratova began a new period of prosperity and stability. Here work, favorite viewers N. Bugaev, E. Afanasyev, L. Margolina.

Since the founding of the theater, more than 250 performances have been staged, attended by about 2 million spectators. Many productions were noted at international festivals, and the play "Tyumovochka", in 2006, was awarded the prize.
