About the company:

The history of this magnificent architectural monument is multifaceted and inexhaustible. How many secrets and riches of the Maryin soul have not yet been revealed... The estate "Maryino" originated in the early XIX century on the lands of the ancient village of Ivanovo, with which it is connected by an alley of centuries-old trees and a common history. In 1703, the Kursk lands of the Ryl, Lgov and Putivsky districts were granted by Peter I to the Hetman of Ukraine I. S. Mazepa (1644-1709), who at that time was at the zenith of his fame. Hetman founded many villages and villages on these lands, three of which - Ivanovo, Stepanovka, Mazepovka (Rylsky district) - still remind us of the name, patronymic and surname of the self-loving nobleman. In the village of Ivanovo Mazepa founded a manor - built two buildings of stone chambers and service buildings. The center of the composition of the ensemble is a three-storey building of the palace with side one-storey wings, forming on both sides of the front courtyard, somewhat tapering to the entrance gate, two courtyards connected with it by travel arches. The palace was built in accordance with the project (1811-1812) of the Kursk architect Karl Ivanovich Hoffman by 1820. Initially, the palace was called Izbytsky House, as it was built on the bank of the Izbytsy River, but later it was called Maryin, like the entire estate, after the name of the second wife of I. I. Baryatinsky. The surviving drawings of the main and park facades of the architect K. I. Hoffman and the painting by an unknown artist “Palace in Maryina” (1815-1816) convey the original appearance of the palace. Preserved magnificent stucco ceiling, marble fireplaces, pristine parquet, items of ancient furniture. In the landscaped park there are round and oval ponds with two islets connected by three bridges. On one island - a 16-column rotunda (princely bath), on the second - Lutheran church. Now in the estate there is a sanatorium of the Office of the President of Russia. At any time of the year, the magnificent palace "Marino" is open to guests and vacationers, admirers of beauty and connoisseurs of the eternal.
