About the company:

A major breakthrough for the creative intelligentsia of Kursk was the opening of a literary museum in 2009. This storehouse of letters was opened in memory of the famous Kursk author K. Vorobyov. He was able to truly describe the most fatal moments of the Great Patriotic War.

The museum area of 563 sq.m. places 8 expositions on different topics. They acquaint visitors with the biography and work of more than 90 authors - residents of the Kursk region, in the period from the 11th century to the present day. Separately allocated halls for the creativity of writers K. Vorobyov and E. Nosov.

Material for the creation of the museum was enough, because many famous poets, composers, artists and writers are natives of the Kursk land: K. Istomin, the author of Domostroy and the creator of the primer, S. Medvedev, the founder of bibliography. There is news that the Monk F. Pechersky, A. Gaidar, A. Fet, V. Ovechkin, N. Aseev are also directly related to the Kursk Territory. A huge role in the study of Pushkin’s life was played by the work “Acts of Peter the Great”, written by I. Golikov.

The pearl of the museum fund is memorial items: rare books, personal belongings of writers, manuscripts, books with authors’ signatures. For visitors, the museum organizes various conferences, creative meetings, which are accompanied by computer technology.
