Lake Toja
Description:
In the western part of the Todzhin basin there is another "pearl" of Tuva - Lake Todja. The area of its water surface is 51 square kilometers. Toja is called the whole area - several high-altitude lakes, including Lake Toja, and nearby forests and high-altitude tundra. There are many beautiful picturesque places where you can meet both birds and wild animals. Especially in the tundra is not a problem to see reindeer.
For the winter, the lake is completely covered with ice, it begins from the end of November. Therefore, winter fishing becomes very popular here. Ice only opens in early May.
The highest water level is reached in the summer, in June, the lowest level - in early spring. Above sea level, Lake Toja is located at an altitude of 944 meters.
