Yenisei River - Biy Hem

-

Description:

The Yenisei is the largest and full-flowing river in Siberia. In Tuvan, it is called “Bi-Hema”, which means “Great River”. Local beauty and untouched nature is protected by the territories of numerous federal reserves, through which the main tourist routes pass.

To describe the advantages of ecotourism on the Yenisei does not make sense, because even an occasional foreigner at the word "Siberia" experiences unconscious awe and delight. The Yenisei rushes through the rapids and overflows to the Tuvan basin, where in the mountain depression it merges with the Ka-Khem, forming one of the most magnificent rivers in Russia. At all times it was famous for its rich fish catch and today it is one of the tempting reasons to visit its shores.

In the upper reaches of the Yenisei there is a thundering Bi-Khem waterfall. Its water is very oxygenated, which attracts many species of fish. This untouched region is rich in pike, garius, film and sig.

A little down the river on the territory of the Federal reserve Azas is a beautiful lake in the area of nine extinct volcanoes. This is one of the most interesting tourist sites of the republic, where hiking and river rafting on the Yenisei are regularly organized.
