About the company:

The Kochetov Museum was founded on the basis of the People's Museum in 1969, and in 1981 it was transformed into the Kochetov Historical and Memorial Complex - a branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Tyva.

Until 1981, the museum was located in a house where during the Civil War the headquarters of the partisan detachment was located. In 1981, on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the formation of the Tuvan People's Republic, a second house built in the early twentieth century was opened, in which the Vsetuvan Constituent Hural was held on August 13-16, 1921. In the same year, a third building was opened - the main building of the museum. The building is old, at first there was a club - the hearth of Atamanovka culture, later there lived pupils of the boarding school of Kochetov eight-year school.

The exposition shows the life and activity of S.K. Kochetov, who was the commander of the Red Partisans and made an invaluable contribution to the formation and development of the Tuvan Republic, as well as the history of the famous Silver Company of old people under the command of K.S. Mordvintsov and other pages of the history of the region.
