Lazarevsky district is located north-west of the city center. It is the largest area of the city of Sochi, covering approximately 1,744 square kilometers, with a length of 60 km along the sea (in a straight line) including several neighborhoods: Dagomys, Uchdere, Loo, Head, Chemitokwaje, Lazarevskoye, Ashe, Makopse, Magri. Lazarevskoye - 59 km (on a winding road) from the city center of Sochi, 7.5 km along the sea and 3 km along the Psezuapse River.
Lazarevskoye is the administrative center of the eponymous district of Sochi. Lazarevskoye can be considered an example of a healthy resort compromise. There is no aggressive and incendiary bustle of Greater Sochi, but there is no hermitage of small secluded settlements of the Black Sea coast. There are enough restaurants, cafes and discos to not get bored after sunset, and a relatively small number of party temptations allows you to focus on the main thing: the sea and the sun. The main and only business in the city is tourism. 8 months a year Lazarevskoye is half asleep, gaining strength to receive guests in a short holiday season to give everything you can to vacationers and guests of the city. It may not always turn out, but other countries have built their tourism industry much longer and not in such conditions.

The city has two full-fledged water parks "Sea Star" and "Nautilus". There is a special water park for children, there is an amusement town and a children's railway. Beaches are gradually switching to commercial rails. This means that they have a master who monitors not only cleanliness and order, but also safety on the water. It does not follow that everything in Lazarevsky is now for money. Municipal beaches have not been canceled, and although the stereotype of “nationality” still prevails, but gradually people get used to comfort, and are ready to pay for decent service and “place in the sun” in the literal sense of the word.
And it is important to remember that the cleanliness and freedom of the beaches depend on the city center. The further you go, the more... You have to keep this in mind from the beginning. When you have not yet arrived in the city and have not yet decided on accommodation, it is better to weigh the chances in advance, to understand that being in the center and living in the center are two big differences. After all, not only the beaches - as you move away from the station, hotel prices naturally decrease, but the politeness of waiters and the size of barbecues on barbecues grows. The settlement is named after the famous Russian navigator Admiral Mikhail Petrovich Lazarev, who was an honorary member of the Russian Geographical Society and many domestic and foreign societies, made three voyages around the world, participated in the discovery of Antarctica, commanded the flagship ship Azov in the famous Navarino battle and for 17 years (1833-1850) stood at the head of the Black Sea Fleet.
The resort industry is the basis of the Lazarevsky district. In 2004, 102 health resorts functioned on the Lazarevsky seaside - sanatoriums, boarding houses and rest houses, tourist bases and children's health camps, which took 220 thousand people for rest and treatment.
