Museum and exhibition complex (Forest)
About the company:
The history of the creation of museum business in the city of Lesnoy, then still Sverdlovsk-45, began on May 13, 1968. It was then that the Executive Committee of the City Council of People's Deputies decided to create a city historical and local history museum on a voluntary basis. The museum was opened by enthusiasts and veterans of the city, people of a restless soul and patriots of their region.
Such a person was Alexander Ivanovich Avdyukov. It was Alexander Ivanovich Avdyukov who was the first to be awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of the Forest”. He received the title "for his services in the construction of the city and the development of the urban economy, for active social activity." In the city of Lesnoy, he worked since 1948: senior construction engineer, head of the housing and communal department, deputy head of the workshop of the Elektrokhimpribor plant. From 1954 to 1959 he was chairman of the city executive committee.
In addition, Alexander Ivanovich Avdyukov was a participant in the Great Patriotic War and was awarded the Order of the Red Star, medals: "For victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War" and "For victory over Japan." For his government assignment in 1954, he was also awarded the Medal for Labor Valor.
During the existence of the public council of the museum, he remained its permanent chairman. It was under his sensitive leadership that work was carried out to collect exhibits and open the museum. Alexander Ivanovich Avdyukov himself recalls the opening of the museum: In the early days of May 1968, I was invited by Viktor Ilyich, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the City Council of Ulybushev. After a brief conversation, he expressed the idea of organizing a local history museum in our city and asked me to do this. I agreed because I was already retired and had the time to organize this work.
On May 13, 1968, the Executive Committee made a decision and the work began. A public council of 10 people was formed.
The Public Council drew up an action plan to provide the museum with the necessary materials for the creation of expositions. Thus, they were puzzled: the Elektrokhimpribor combine, the City Construction Department, the Medical Unit 91, the Labor Supply Department, Gorono, the Department of Culture, Trade and Public Catering, the Committee of the Komsomol, etc. To collect the exhibits, the public of the city was involved: an asset of house administrations, pensioners, members of the public council.
The main directions in the work were the collection and processing of museum material, labor and everyday life of the old Urals. Activists went to the organizations, to the institutions of the city, interested in the history of their creation and content of work. They also appealed for help to citizens, school students. Painfully, piece by piece gathered exhibits. But it went. The museum was given a collection of minerals from the previously existing local history circle of the House of Pioneers. In one of the expeditions acquired a wonderful collection of gems. Hunters and fishermen brought the skins of animals, from which amateur taxidermists made stuffed animals. Thus, the museum's expositions were gradually formed.”
To accommodate the museum, the Executive Committee of the City Council allocated one room of 40 m2 in the House of Pioneers.
On November 5, 1969, the city museum of local lore was opened within one room. A year later, a second room with exhibits of nature of the Urals was opened. As part of two rooms (total area of 80 m2), the museum worked twice a week.
In 1972, the public council of the museum raised the issue of providing more space for the museum. And only in January 1983, the Executive Committee of the City Council decided to provide the first floor on Lenin Street, in the house No. 54.
On April 8, 1985, the Executive Committee adopted the second decision on the equipment and decoration of the museum in the specified premises. In May 1976, a party organization (mostly veterans) was established at the museum, and the work improved significantly. As a result of the active and conscientious work of the Communists in various areas (they primarily engaged in educational work in schools and city organizations and the popularization of the museum), the museum council had the opportunity to deal with the issues of furnishing and purchasing equipment for the halls. So, in 1978, a long-standing dream was realized, an electrified map of the “Wealth of the Urals” was made.
In 1979, a staff member, N. S. Sagdiyeva, was hired, who performed a significant part of the work on organizing excursions, designing albums about participants of the Great Patriotic War.
Since 01:08. In 1987, the management of the museum was entrusted to the "public director" Ovsyannikov Yuri Veniaminovich.
This was the beginning of the museum business in our city. Having equipped the museum, acquired exhibits, organized the work of dutymen and tour guides, the public council planned to improve educational work among workers and students of schools in the coming years and systematically replenish the museum expositions with new interesting exhibits.
On September 1, 1987, the museum received its first visitors in the new building. At the time of the opening of the museum, the public council consisted of 13 people chaired by Avdyukov A.I.
With the support of city organizations and the Elektrokhimpribor plant, the museum worked on a voluntary basis until 1995.
Since January 1, 1995, the museum became a municipal institution with the addition of an exhibition hall, which made it possible to staff the staff and organize more productive work of the museum with a convenient schedule for city residents on weekdays, as well as on holidays and weekends. From that moment until November 2009 the museum was headed by Anatoly Malyutin.
