About the company:
The Lipetsk State Puppet Theatre was established in 1965, and soon the formation of the creative team and the rapid development of the theater began. However, it was not without serious problems that often threatened closure. But despite all the difficulties, for almost half a century of its existence, the theater invariably pleased its audience with new stage finds and beautiful play.
The troupe of the puppet theater regularly tours not only in various regions of Russia, but also in countries of near and far abroad, including even African countries. The Lipetsk Puppet Theatre gained great fame when it toured in Moscow in 1977. The performance “Seek the Wind in the Field” was not only awarded the Ministerial Prize, but also received the prize of the international festival in the Polish city of Opal.
In 1978, on the basis of the Lipetsk Puppet Theatre, a creative laboratory was created, in which directors, actors and artists exchanged experience in search of new creative solutions. And after another twenty years, the theater was finally able to move into its own building and start systematic work. To date, the repertoire of the theater has about 30 performances that can satisfy any taste, and every year this list expands.
