Description:

Managing Lipetsk at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, the city head Mitrofan Alekseevich Klyuev dedicated his life to his beloved city. Being an outstanding and multifaceted personality, he left his mark in the history of the city and entered it thanks to his many useful initiatives. Mitrofan Klyuev was the initiator of the construction of the St. Nicholas Church, under him a water supply, a power plant, a number of large buildings, numerous civilian facilities (cinema, polyclinic, etc.) were built in the city. In gratitude, a monument to the mayor was erected several years ago.

The monument is a figure of the chairman of the city council, made in full growth. Sculptors managed to accurately convey to us the colorful appearance of the city head. The composition is oriented in such a way that at first glance it seems as if he was thinking about the next transformation. Relying on a cane, the mayor seems to be going to take a step forward - towards the city. The stone mayor is not just a monument, it is a real mascot of the city.
