Memorial House-Museum of G.V. Plekhanov

The House-Museum of V.G. Plekhanov in Lipetsk is the only museum in our country where you can get acquainted not only with the life and activities of the founder of Marxism in Russia, but also with the history of the emergence and development of the social democratic movement before the establishment of Bolshevik power. Visitors to the museum get acquainted with the assessments of Plekhanov’s political opponents (primarily the Bolsheviks and Lenin) not only from the arsenal of his articles and speeches, but also from the records and statements of famous writers and public figures. In addition, the exposition of the museum shows Plekhanov as a person, which is especially interesting for the ordinary visitor. Family photos, information about life in Geneva and San Remo are presented.
