Liven Museum of Local Lore

The first collection of minerals and objects of nature appeared. Voluntary helpers and benefactors helped gradually replenish the fund. Canvases, military artifacts were collected.

(Livne Museum of Local Lore was founded on November 24, 1918.) In November 1941, when the Nazis approached the city, the museum funds disappeared without a trace. In 1966, the museum was revived as a folk museum, and in 1987 it became a branch of the Orel Regional Museum of Local History. In 1995, the city granted the museum a building in the city center, and the museum became a municipal one. In June 1998, after a major renovation of the building, the construction of the exposition and the systematization of funds, the museum opened as a municipal institution.
