Local Lore Museum of Lomonosov
Yeleninskaya Street, 25/15, Lomonosov
About the company:
The local history museum of Lomonosov is located in an old building on Yeleninskaya Street. It was chosen as a museum from many addresses not by chance. The mansion, built in the early twentieth century in the style of "modern" for the Officers' Shooting School, is a monument of history and culture of regional importance.
The spacious restored halls housed the museum exposition “Three Centuries of the History of Oranienbaum-Lomonosov”. Among the exhibits there are mummies of the village of Martyshkino (XVIII century), objects found by archaeologists on the territory of the Koporsk fortress and Ust-Ruditsa (the place where the estate of M. V. Lomonosov was located), photographs and graphic images of Oranienbaum of the late XIX - early XX century, as well as many other objects of cultural and historical value. They are organically combined with innovative museum technologies, such as the operating model of the Ust-Ruditsk factory, the touchscreen interactive panel of the Oranienbaum map of 1914, the cockpit of the La-5 fighter aircraft of 1942 with the built-in computer game of air combat “Baltic Sky”. The museum has two spacious halls where temporary exhibitions and cultural and leisure events are held.
