Barhan-Sarykum

First stop is Barhan Sarykum. A huge sand dune rises here among the mountains and green meadows. The local joke: “If you want to go to the Sahara, go to Dagestan.” The guide will suggest a convenient path and choose the pace so that both adults and children are comfortable.

"Glavefish"

Then you'll go to the Glavryb. It is pleasant to spend time here for both adults and children: you can walk around the territory, look at the trout farm, relax by the water. This is the place where Dagestanis come for the weekend.

Noho Cave and Suspension Bridge

Former geological galleries of the 70s turned into an equipped route with passages and a suspension bridge over the river. Here you feel the scale of the canyon differently: stone pockets, narrow passages, wind from Sulak.

Observation deck in Dubki

This is the most recognizable point of the route, where tourists make their "postcard" shots. The guide will tell you where it is better to stop in time to see and photograph.

Lunch

You will have lunch in the cafe "Hadum" with dishes of Dagestani cuisine: on the menu - lagman, miracle, kurze, cutting, compote and tea

"Goat Trail"

This is an observation deck overlooking the Chirkey reservoir. From here there is a view of the calm water surface and mountain slopes, and a dam of hydroelectric power stations is visible nearby. It is spacious and quiet - it is nice to stop for a while and just admire the scenery. Visiting this location is only available from November to April inclusive.

Chirkey Reservoir

The mountain sea among the rocks - this is what the Chirkey reservoir looks like. It stretches for more than 40 kilometers, the depth in places reaches 220 meters, and it seems that before you is not a man-made object, but a miracle of nature. In fact, the reservoir appeared in the 1970s, when the Chirkey HPP was built. Entire villages remained under water, and this place has its own special history. You will definitely want to ride here by boat: half an hour on the water will allow you to see the reservoir and the mountains around from a completely different angle.
