Literary and Memorial Museum of G. Tsadasy
About the company:
Literary and Memorial Museum of G. Tsadasy, located in the village of Tsada, Khunzakh district of Dagestan, was opened in 1973. The exposition of the museum tells about the life and work of the Dagestani founder of Avar literature and poet Gamzat Tsadasy. The personal belongings of Tsadasa were collected and carefully stored long before the opening of the museum. To date, more than 1,000 exhibits are stored in the collections of the literary and memorial museum and all of them are related to the life and work of the poet. The area of the exhibition hall is about 262 square meters.
Among the museum exhibits, a large part is occupied by a collection of books and photographs. These are ancient, manuscript editions, unique Arabic books of the XVI-XX centuries from the personal library of G. Tsadasa. Also, there are personal belongings and letters dedicated to the poet to various people - representatives of the creative intelligentsia, politicians and poets.
The top floor with a veranda was built much later. This is where the family loved to spend time in the summer. On the upper floor were the office of G. Tsadasa, the room of the eldest son Magomed and the common room.
The poet’s wife lived here until her death. In this house very often stayed and visited the famous son of G. Tsadasa Rasul. Furniture, personal belongings and household items presented in the museum bear the imprint of those times. For example, large and small dressers. Today it is quite difficult to imagine this huge cabinet of dense wood in a modern interior. At that time he was irreplaceable in the household.
