For 5 days of tour you will see the most iconic sights of Dagestan!

There will be a lot of mountains, several mountain passes and waterfalls, high-mountain reservoirs, accommodation in the mountains in guest houses and hotels, delicious national food and picnics among the stunning landscapes, hundreds of locations for beautiful photos. Every day we will actively move in the minivan and spend a lot of time exploring many attractions. We will also walk lightly, in atmospheric places that can only be reached on foot.

TOUR PROGRAMME

Day 1

10.00 Arrival at Makhachkala Airport before this time.

We will meet you at the airport on the first day of the tour or in the center of Makhachkala, if you arrived earlier.

Sulak Canyon and Barhan Sarykum. Turquoise mountain rivers and the “branch” of the desert in the middle of Dagestan.

The first day will be full of natural beauty.

We will visit an amazing natural phenomenon - Barhan Sarykum. A branch of the Sahara Desert in Dagestan! The mysterious golden sand dune is a reserve with a special wildlife. It was here that the famous film “White Sun of the Desert” was filmed.

We will have lunch in a very tasty place on the fish trout farm - Glavfish.

Today we will see the Sulak Canyon - a miracle of nature. It is one of the deepest canyons in the world. It amazes with its scale and splendor of paintings. In depth, it surpasses the famous Grand Canyon in the United States and even deeper than Baikal. There we will ride on a speedboat, get to steep cliffs, pass under powerful waterfalls. The sea of emotion is assured!

In the evening, at dinner in the national cafe, we will arrange a meeting evening to get to know each other better.

Day 2

08:00 Breakfast and eviction.

08:30 Departure from Makhachkala with things. We're going to Chirkey Reservoir.

Visit the observation deck overlooking the Sulak Canyon and HPP!
The Chirkey Hydroelectric Power Plant, which we will see on the way, is the most powerful in the North Caucasus. Above it in Russia only the dam Sayano-Shushenskaya hydropower station. Impressive combination of nature and man-made structures HPP!

From the observation deck in Dubki p. we will admire the turquoise waters of Sulak, enjoy the beauty and power of the Sulak canyon.

We will find ourselves at the very cliff - a few hundred meters down, where a turquoise river winds between the mountains!

Next we will go to the other side of the canyon to look at it from the highest point, take a sea of fiery photos!

We go to the mountains in Hunza to the guest house.

On the way, we'll have lunch at a cafe on the Irganai Reservoir.

Hunzah village is the ancient capital of Avaristan, the birthplace of warriors and poets. It is located in the heart of mountainous Dagestan on the picturesque Khunzakh plateau - at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level.

Let's go to Matlas.

Here we will see all the charms of the Hunzakh plateau.

Enjoy a walk through the Stone Bowl.

Stone bowl - a cliff consists of several vaulted rocky halls, passing one into another and connected by caves and narrow passages. The walls are decorated with moss and flowers. Once in these stone halls, we immerse ourselves in an incredible, fantastic atmosphere and enjoy the pristine natural beauty.

Next, we will visit a small temple, which is lonely located at the cliff itself.

We will see the most Instagram and stunning places that will fill your hearts with memories for a lifetime.

Day 3

The fourth day is full of natural attractions of Hunzakh district.

08:00 Breakfast at the guest house.

08:30 Early in the morning we will go to the waterfalls and the Tsolotlinsky canyon. Here violently break into the abyss three huge waterfalls. The height of the water fall is 70 m! Can you imagine the scale?

We go to the Karadakh cliff - a beautiful narrow gorge with an incredible color of rocks, for which many photographers come.

Then we go to the village of GOOR - an unforgettable edge of the towers with its picturesque ruins of a defensive complex on the edge of a precipice. Here is the "Troll language" as in Norway. There's going to be an off-roader.

Delicious and hearty eat in the national house of local residents. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of hospitality, listen to interesting stories, learn mysterious legends.

Return to Hunza.

Dinner at the guest house, walk.

Day 4

Caucasian Machu Pichku, Gamsutl

07:30 Breakfast at the guest house.

8:00 Departure with things.

Going to the ancient village Ghost of Hamsutl

The village of Gamsutl, which is often called a ghost village or a mountain city or Dagestan Machu Picchu. The similarity is obvious! The ruins of a recently lively village are located in the highlands on the top of the mountain, and from the old walls there are breathtaking views of the mountain landscapes!

Walking here, you can find things recently lived. The last resident of Gamsutl left it in 2015. And it's amazing! The city was built 2,000 years ago!

The climb to Gamsutl will be the most physically challenging part of the program. From the place where we can bring SUVs, a walk to the village takes about 1.5-2 hours. After that, nothing will be difficult anymore.

When we get to the top, we forget about the difficult climb. Gamsutla landscapes - shake off the soul.

We'll have lunch at the guest house in CHOH Aul.

After lunch, a three-hour move to Derbent.

Dinner at the cafe.

Later check-in to the apartment.

Day 5.

Derbent is the oldest city in Russia.

The city of Derbent has existed for more than 5000 years and is now a recognized museum - reserve and is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

07.30 Breakfast and eviction with things.

08.00 Moving to Ekronplan Lun (“Caspian Monster”), swimming in the Caspian Sea.

Lun is the personification of proud loneliness, has been standing on the coast for 30 years. In the past, the Soviet strike ekranoplan was a missile carrier that faithfully served the Motherland.

Then we will go to the ancient fortress of Naryn Kala, where a local guide with historical education will conduct an interesting excursion.

We will take a walk around the city, walk through the old quarters - Magals, people still live there - the atmosphere is very colorful.

Magal is a small area of the ancient eastern city centered around a mosque. Derbent has 9 magals. All of them are located in the mountainous part of the city inside the stone walls of the Derbent fortress, below the Naryn-Kala citadel. This place is called the “Old City”.

We will make lunch in the Ethno House, after lunch walk along the beautiful embankment.

16.30 Moving to the airport and to Makhachkala by 18.00, then moving to the center of Makhachkala.
