In 5 days we will visit all the famous and unique places of Dagestan from the best observation platforms.

Tour programme

1 day

We will meet at Makhachkala airport (Uytash) before 10:00 If you arrive later, we can agree on this and slightly adjust our schedule (check the details with the manager).

• We will get acquainted at a welcome breakfast in a cafe near the shore of the Caspian Sea. The first day of the tour is the most amazing.
• We are waiting for the Caspian Sea - the largest closed reservoir on the planet, Sarykum - the largest sand barchan in Europe and Sulak Canyon - the deepest canyon in Europe.
• A nice bonus: avoid the influx of tourists and bustle on the most popular location, Sulak Canyon. : We will see it not from the “pop” platform in the village of Dubki, but from the recreation center KFH “Rodnik” with its own observation platform. There we will spend the night to spend the sunset and meet the dawn with a beautiful view.

2 days

Are you an early bird? Lucky you! Then you will definitely catch a picturesque dawn over the canyon with a hearty Dagestani breakfast.

• Start the day with a jeeping along a picturesque road - go down the canyon.
• Then we take a boat ride along the Sulak River. Here you get the most vivid videos: the water is incredibly turquoise, and the mountains and greenery create an amazing contrast. We will meet more than one spectacular waterfall along the way and we will be able to catch splashes directly from the boat.
• Let’s return to the general tourist route, look at the Sulak Canyon from the side of Dubka and compare the impressions with the platform at the base. Consider the Chirkey HPP and the reservoir.
• We will pass through the Gimrin tunnel, the longest in Russia. Its length is 4303 m, and construction took 33 years!
• At the Irganai Reservoir, outdoor enthusiasts will be able to catch a wave on SUP surfs. This item is not included in the tour price and is available at your request. Who knows if you will have a second breath?

3 days

The third day is dedicated to the bizarre mountain landscapes of Dagestan

• Let's go to the village of Goor. Here on the edge of a steep abyss is an abandoned village and the border with Georgia is visible. Nearby we will find a steep rock Troll's tongue, where you can make spectacular shots.
• We will walk along the Karadakh Rock, a winding narrow canyon with high walls. Above the heads hang giant boulders, and rocks gorge unearthly color. This place is called the Gate of Miracles. The locals believe that it grants wishes.

4 days

You like history? It seems that a pinch of historical places will not hurt us!

• Let’s start the day at the underground waterfall Saltinsky. We will visit the village of Gunib and see the fortress of Imam Shamil, a historical place where more than one battle took place.
• We will have lunch in the ancient village of Chokh and walk through its narrow streets. Then - tracking to the ghost aul Gamsutl, whose last resident died in 2015. There are still personal belongings and dishes of the owners! Only 2 kilometers into a small hill - and we are in place. Sounds scary? You can comfortably ride a horse (paid separately)
• In the evening we will see Aivazovsky Peak. The place that 150 years ago inspired the artist to the famous painting.

5 days

Well, here we are and adapted mountaineers! I bet you've already bought a papa for a souvenir :

• We will go to Khunzah aul to one of the highest waterfalls in Russia, Tobot. Its height is about 70 meters. Jumping off a bungee into the abyss near the waterfall? A highlander would have jumped!
• We will visit the amazing Matlas Plateau with canyons, waterfalls and an extreme park. Do you want to break the adrenaline? Here you and Via Ferrata, and zipline, and bungee.
• Let's take a walk in the Stone Bowl. There are whole halls of rocks, unusual stone textures, on the walls grow paportnik, moss and flowers. Like fairy tales!
• At the end of the day we will return to the airport / Makhachkala. We will exchange contacts, photos and wait for new trips!
