Local History Museum of the Culture Department of the Mariinsky-Posad District Administration

The museum was founded in 1963. Located in a merchant mansion, on the picturesque bank of the Volga River. Rich in historical exhibits telling about the history of the city. In the exhibition hall of the museum, DPI exhibitions, personal exhibitions are periodically made up. There are days of giving, meetings with interesting people. The museum has a historical and art salon, where various events related to the history, traditions of the city and the district are held. We are working with schoolchildren, organized at the museum search. In the summer, under an agreement with the employment center, new jobs were created for teenagers. When organizing a mass visit to the museum, theater expositions with musical accompaniment on the piano of the XIX century are held. In the merchant hall, visitors can eat scented tea brewed on medicinal herbs with sheep and souvenir gingerbread, which is included in additional services. The tour ends with a gift hall, where gifts to our city are exhibited from the President of the Chuvash Republic N.V. Fedorov and other delegates of the state.
