Mount Chugush

The Adygeans not for nothing called Chugush the Top of the Earth, this mountain is the highest point of Adygea, its height is three thousand two hundred meters above sea level. The mountain has many names, it is called the Patron of Trees and the Top of the Old Tours and Selezny. Here the right tributaries of the White River begin their course.

Chugush is located on the territory of the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve. Its territory was previously closed to tourists, but now the full ban has been lifted. Excursions to the foot of Chugush are organized, as a rule, from its southern foothills in the Krasnodar Territory. You can take a horse ride or ride in jeeps. Excursions include climbing into the zone of alpine meadows - magnificent views, rich vegetation, romance of mountain landscapes all this promises you a meeting with Chugush. To the top of the mountain there are routes for climbers.
