Gorka Falls
Russia, Republic of Adygea, Maikop district, Kamennomostsky settlement
Description:
Gorka waterfall is one of the waterfalls of the picturesque gorge Mishoko, which in translation from Adyghe means “bear valley”. The gorge, stretching along the eponymous stream, is located south of the village of Kamennomostsky in Adygea. Like many other channels of small rivers flowing into the White, the gorge deserves the attention of tourists with beautiful waterfalls and many grottoes in its rock walls.
Gorka Falls is located in the middle course of Michoko Creek. Unlike the most shady part of the canyon, it is always sunny and very cozy. From the height of the rock ledge, the water along a natural stone trough, polished to mirror smoothness, flows down into a round stone bowl, in which the local children like to swim.
The surroundings of the waterfall are a good place to camp here or have a picnic. In the beech woods nearby there are two large flat areas, perfectly suitable for this. And in the rock to the left of the waterfall beats a small spring with transparent and tasty water.
