Mamryuk Falls

Russia, Republic of Adygea, Maikop district, Novoprokhladnoye settlement

Description:

The Sakhrai River is one of the many mountain rivers of the Republic of Adygea. This small river with a length of only thirty-one kilometers attracts many who want to admire its rocky canyons and picturesque waterfalls.

One of these waterfalls is located on a small tributary of Sakhray - Mamryuk Creek. Nature created this unusual waterfall with the skill of a real architect. If you go up to the waterfall from the mouth of the stream, you will see a wide stone bowl, like a small lake surrounded by a semicircle of high rocks. Rocks overgrown with forest resemble a theatrical curtain. Through a narrow passage in the rocks, a second bowl of smaller sizes is visible, a water stream falls into it from a height of four meters, flying in thousands of splashes.
