The Crack Falls
Russia, Republic of Adygea, Maikop district, Ust-Sakhrai settlement
Description:
The Sakhrai River is one of the many mountain rivers of the Republic of Adygea. This small river with a length of only thirty-one kilometers attracts many who want to admire its rocky canyons and picturesque waterfalls.
The most visited waterfall on the Sahrai River is the Rasclelin Falls. The waterfall is located about seven kilometers from the village of Ust-Sakhrai. Near it on the bank of the river there is a convenient clearing with gazebos equipped for tourists parking. To the foot of the waterfall leads a wooden staircase.
The riverbed in this place like a dam is blocked by a rock, the width of which is fifteen meters. At the right bank, Sahrai broke through this natural barrier and is thrown down from a four-meter height by a powerful narrow stream. Under the waterfall, the water knocked out a deep stone bowl in the riverbed, in which you can swim or dive, jumping from one of the rock ledges.
