University Falls

Russia, Republic of Adygea, Maikop district

Description:

The beautiful waterfall, called University, can be seen on a small stream Burning beam - a tributary of the Mezmay River. You can get to the waterfall from the village of Mezmay or the village of Temnoleska on a dismantled narrow-gauge railway. Having covered about a kilometer up the creek from the confluence of the Burned Beam in Mezmay, you will finally see the University Falls.

Having overcome several cascades in the upper part of the waterfall, the creek is thrown down with noise. The height of the University Falls is about twenty meters, you can get to its base by natural stone steps. At the foot you can see a small pile of stones, which is called the guardian of the waterfall. In the stone bed of the stream under the waterfall, a sufficiently deep lake is knocked out, in which you can swim if you wish.
