Suk River Falls

Russia, Republic of Adygea, Maikop district

Description:

On the river Syuk in the mountain Adygea there are several beautiful, but little-known among tourists visiting the republic, waterfalls. There are no equipped trails, and the waterfalls are not given memorable names like their more famous counterparts on Rufabgo Creek. But climbing up the river from the tourist base "Mountain Village", you will certainly get a lot of impressions from acquaintance with these amazing natural monuments.

The first on your way will meet a beautiful eight-meter waterfall, the river descends from its top in a series of five cascades. In the bowl at the foot of the waterfall you can swim.

It is not easy to walk further along the gorge - there is no path up, you will have to climb the rocks. But the next waterfall is worth the effort. Here the river was blocked by a huge boulder and the river falls in two streams from a five-meter height on both sides of the stone. This waterfall is similar to the famous waterfall Heart of Rufabgo.

The next waterfall is the highest and perhaps the most beautiful on the river. The water in numerous cascades falls from a height of thirty meters, as if drawing a zigzag on a blocked rock.

Upstream, you can see four more waterfalls, in addition, there are abandoned barite galleries nearby, which also deserve your attention.
