Museum of Stones
Russia, Republic of Adygea, Giaginsky district, Goncharka p
About the company:
The main attraction of the small village of Goncharka of the Giaginsky district of the Republic of Adygea is the dendrological park. On its picturesque paths there is a museum of stones, created on the initiative of the chairman of the local collective farm in the eighties of the twentieth century.
The foundation of the garden was the stones left after the construction of the mountain road. For the museum were selected many bizarre shaped blocks. Most of them are sandstone lenses and were created by nature itself. Others bear traces of human activity. Incredible stone sculptures resemble fantastic creatures from fairy tales and legends, Many stones keep fossilized traces of shells of prehistoric mollusks - ammonites.
Despite the fact that the museum has no geological significance, it is undoubtedly a decoration of the park and an interesting sight. The potter is located only thirty kilometers from Maikop. Come here to walk along the well-groomed paths of the dendrologic park and marvel at the diversity of nature.
