Memorial Museum of Kh.B.Andrukhaev

The Hasen Borezhevich Andrukhayev Memorial Museum is located in the Shovgenovsky district of the Republic of Adygea, at the address: Khakurinokhabl aul, Krasnooktyabrskaya str., 115.

Andrukhayev Museum was opened in 1973. The museum bears the name of the famous Soviet poet, Hero of the Soviet Union - Husen Borezhevich Andrukhayev, who was born in the village of Khakurinokhabl. During the Great Patriotic War, in 1941, junior political leader Andrukhayev heroically died in a fierce defensive battle in the village of Dyakovo, Voroshilovgrad region. He is credited with the phrase he shouted before his death: “The Russians do not give up!” In his native village of Khakurinokhabl, grateful descendants erected a monument to the hero and opened a museum. The museum contains more than 500 exhibits, including materials about the life, work and feat of Andrukhayev.

The museum is open to residents of the city and tourists interested in the history and feat of the Hero of the Great Patriotic War.
