Jila-Su hot springs. Mountain camp

The tour takes place in the North Caucasus, on the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria.
This route is one of the highest in our club, the group lives and walks at altitudes of 2500-3200 m. Along the route, we not only take walks around Elbrus, view it from different sides, but also climb the spurs of this snow giant! The slopes of Elbrus are famous for their large-scale, grandiose landscapes.

It is here, on the northern slopes of Elbrus, that the tract of Jily-Su is located - the country of healing Narzans.
Jily-su in translation means “warm water”. In this place, dozens of unique mineral springs beat from the ground, which heal from various diseases and strengthen the body. Awesome sensation when lying in a warm mineral bath, and around you rise dozens of small bubbles =)
And Jily-Su - this land of waterfalls, which have beautiful male names - Sultan, Emir, Shah. Due to the unusual energy, these places are very fond of esoteric. Still, because there are natural sand castles, amazing stone mushrooms, energy mountains Sirkh and Tuzluk.
And here it is so nice to open the tent in the morning and see the snow-white peaks of Elbrus right in front of you!

Feature of the route: a hike to Elbrus without crossings with backpacks, accommodation in tents, all walks along the route light!

The route thread: the city of Mineral Waters - the tract of Jily-Su, the glade of Emmanuel • the Gorge of Castles, the waterfalls Sultan, Emir, Shah, Kyzyl-Kol • the plateau of Irahit-syrt • the Sirkh mountain • "German airfield", "Plane of mushrooms" • Glacial Lake Birjaly • Mount Tuzluk - Mineral Waters.

Day 1

The city of Mineral Waters - the tract of Jily-Su - the glade of Emmanuel.
11:00-11:30 (Moscow time) - group gathering at the railway station of Mineralnye Vody (near the main entrance from the city) and at the airport of Mineralnye Vody (near the main entrance).
Transfer by mountain transport in the Jily-Su tract, to the Emmanuel glade (4-4.5 hours). Going on foot from mountain transport to the camp site takes 7-10 minutes.
On the way to the camp, cross the wooden bridge over the river, then climb the hill (a set of height about 30 meters), then follow the path along a flat, grassy clearing. The path is most convenient to overcome with a backpack behind your shoulders.
Every third tourist asks if it is possible to bring a suitcase. Therefore, we immediately say that with suitcases and travel bags you can also go to the parking lot!

Welcome to the foot of Elbrus! The highest mountain in the Caucasus will be visible directly from our tents, and in the coming days we will take dozens of pictures against the background of this snow giant! Since we were in the land of Narzans, today we will try a real mineral narzan.
We'll break up the camp in Emmanuel's clearing. Throughout the trip, our tents will stand in one place. The parking lot is located at an altitude of 2550 m.

Emmanuel Field is known as the place where the first successful conquest of Elbrus began. In 1829, a scientific expedition led by General George Emmanuel was organized. About 30 people went to storm the summit, and the general himself watched them through the spyglass from this clearing.
In our time, this place is called the Emmanuel glade. Now the clearing is chosen by tourists who like to walk around the picturesque surroundings, or plan to climb Elbrus from the north side.

Silver Spring, Kalinov Bridge, Kyzyl-Kol River Canyon.
Today we will walk through the picturesque surroundings: we will see a spring with silver water and on the Kalinov Bridge we will go down to the canyon of the Kyzyl-Kol River.
! It is interesting that the source with silver water does not always work. It appears only in late June – early July.

Day 2

Gorge of Castles, waterfalls Sultan, Emir, Shah (Kara-Kaya-Su).
On this day we go to admire the extraordinary nature of Elbrus!
Balka Kala-Kulak (in our words - "Castle Gorge") will surprise us with bizarre pointed pyramids with a height of five-storey houses. A long time ago, magma flowed and frozen here. Over time, nature carved into it bizarre stone castles.

Let's go on a waterfall walk!
Sultan, Emir, Shah are all the names of the waterfalls that we will visit today. The calmest is the Emir Falls, the highest is the Sultan Falls, it falls to the ground from a height of 40 meters. And the most spectacular is the Shah Falls. It bursts an incredibly powerful stream from the rocks! And the rocks themselves in this place are a masterpiece of nature. If you look at a certain angle, the rocks begin to move and rise right before your eyes!

Lovers of water treatments, do not forget swimsuits! We'll be taking narzan baths today. Yes, those with a mass of bubbles)).

Day 3

Irahit-syrt plateau.
The Irahit-syrt plateau is a real miracle of nature, which was created for millions of years. From the slopes of Elbrus, glaciers broke off and passed along the plateau.
There were hot lava flows here.
Now the plateau is covered with emerald greenery and bright flowers. It is so nice to walk barefoot, lie on the grass and through the flowers to photograph the snow-white peaks of the mountains!
On this walk, the beautiful Elbrus opens to us from a new angle. Now it's even closer and even grander. It is from the Irahit-syrt plateau that we take some of the most spectacular photos of Elbrus!

Day 4

The Sirch Energy Mountain
Sirch is a real mystery mountain. Long ago, when there was not even Elbrus, Mount Sirch was the highest in the Caucasus. It was a center, a kind of Olympus, where people came for sacred holidays and held their rituals and cults here.
The cult of the sun god is associated with the top of Sirkh, ancient temples and cave paintings are found here. Nowadays, scientists say that Sirch is one of the most energetically strong places in the Caucasus.
If you are an ordinary tourist and you are not very close to cult rituals, then we will tell you in secret: from the mountain there are incredible views of Elbrus! Elbrus is right in front of us: huge, snow-white, decorated with light clouds.
Curiously, from the top of Sirch you can see all our routes, and there is our camp below. For the sake of all this, it is necessary to climb the Sirch!

Day 5

"German airfield", "Stone mushrooms".
We go up to the mountains for new experiences!
We will walk along the paths along sharp rocks, stone moraines, and then go to a huge plateau. Imagine that there is a perfect plateau in the mountains! This unusual place was called “German airfield”.
The Germans believed that here, on Elbrus, is one of the mysterious entrances to the other world. During World War II, planes landed on this plateau, whose passengers looked very much like Tibetan lamas. This is where the lamas were supposed to meditate, make contact with the cosmos, and predict the future. What did the lamas predict? We'll know when we climb the plateau!

Resting in Jily-Su, you will soon understand that unusual places in Elbrus at least to spare. One of them is very close – this is a “field of mushrooms”.
For centuries, wind and rain cut the rock, which turned into bizarre sculptures – stone mushrooms. Some mushrooms are very small, others have grown to two, three and even five meters in height! The photo shoot here is incredible.)
As expected, mushrooms have powerful energy and create a special zone around them. Often there are weather surprises: everywhere it can rain, and above the mushrooms blue sky and the sun shines!

Day 6

Glacial Lake Birjaly, Kalitsky Peak.
Today we will visit the highlight of our route - high-mountain lake Birjaly. You will have the best impressions of this walk!
Glacier lake is located on the slope of Elbrus, at an altitude of 3380 m. The lake and the surrounding area are unusual. Around the kingdom of rocks, snow, glaciers and here is the peak of Kalitsky. The peak is made of light granite and diabase. It is noteworthy that these rocks are not found anywhere else on Elbrus!
From a height, the lake and the peak together look like a huge space dish, the center of which is just Kalitsky Peak. The biolocation frame shows the presence of a large flow of energy that goes from Space to the surface of the lake. And the second flow of energy, even more powerful, is directed from the peak of Kalitsky up into the Cosmos. And this is one of the secrets of Kalitsky Peak.
Today we will see two lakes along the route! One lake is bright blue, light waves run along its surface, Elbrus rises nearby. It takes only a couple of minutes - and in front of you in all its glory will open Lake Birjaly! It is huge, the water has several shades of azure color. The lake is decorated with a very spectacular shoal of black, volcanic rock. At the end of June, ice floes are still floating here, and rare chamomiles and stonebreaks grow near the lake.
In this place there is always peace, tranquility and grandeur. Two lakes, Kalitsky peak, snow-white Elbrus – all this will be before your eyes. After lunch we will make a big stop to enjoy the atmosphere of this place.

Day 7

Polyana Emmanuel - Mount Tuzluk - Mineral Waters.
In the morning we gather camp and say goodbye to Elbrus. On the usual mountain transport we leave Emmanuel clearing.
On the way, we will stop near Mount Tuzluk. This is another mysterious peak of Elbrus. From afar, it looks like an ordinary pyramid, only completely covered with a grassy cover. Mystic lovers say that inside the pyramid is hollow, there are two huge halls in which incredible things are stored. Also among the local people there is a legend that from the gorge of the Malki river there is an underground passage leading to the very center of the Tuzluk mountain. And on top of the mountain there is a flat platform from which the temple of the Sun grows.

11:00 – transfer to Mineralnye Vody.
16:00-17:00 – arrival at the railway station and the airport of Mineralnye Vody, departure home.
