Decembrists Museum in Minusinsk

The first and only Museum of Decembrists in Krasnoyarsk Krai was opened on August 13, 1997 in the house of Decembrists Alexander Alexandrovich and Nikolai Alexandrovich Kryukov. The Kryukov House is one of the oldest wooden buildings of the city built before 1823. The house is a historical monument and has been under state protection since 1980.

The museum presents the exposition “Decembrists in the Minusinsky District” (about the stay of the participants of the uprising on the Senate Square in the Minusinsky District, the history of the December uprising and another), a fragment of the interior of the living room was created. Part of the exhibition area is used for various exhibitions.

Observation, thematic excursions "In the frosty haze, banners waved" (about the role of the Minusin Decembrists in the uprising of 1825), "The real life of our field ..." (about the life and activities of the Decembrists in Siberia), events from the cycle "Noble Culture". There is a home theater (performances for children and adults) and a club "Peterburzhets". More than 12,000 people visit the museum every year. In 2017 he turned 20 years old.
