About the company:

The artistic credo of the theater can be defined as an inspired creative search and bold innovation. The repertoire of the theater includes numerous masterpieces of opera classics, such as “Prince Igor” by A. P. Borodin, “The Tsar’s Bride” and “Snow Maiden” by N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, “The Magic Flute” by V. A. Mozart, “Norma” by V. Bellini, “The Barber of Seville” and “Cinderella” by J. Rossini, “Nabucco”, “Rigoletto” and “La Traviata” by J. Verdi, “Loengrin” by I. P. R. V. Ryadzlikov, “J. Ryevlinsky, and “The original”.

The theater owns the first productions of operas in Russia: “Maria Stewart” by G. Donizetti, “Vally” by A. Catalani, “Two Foscari” by J. Verdi, “Boris Godunov” by M. P. Mussorgsky (in the first author’s edition), “Hamlet” by A. Tom, “Capriccio” by R. Strauss. New theatrical genres were also created: a kind of creative portrait of famous composers and musicians (Maria Callas, Viva Verdi!, Viva Puccini!, Vincenzo Bellini, Richard Wagner, Rossini), a theatrical performance (Bravissimo!, All this is an opera!). In total, the repertoire of the New Opera Theatre includes more than 70 works of opera and concert genres. Every year in January, the theater holds the International Festival “Baptismal Week at the New Opera”, which involves outstanding masters of musical culture.
