The building of the Moscow Drama Theater named after M. N. Yermolova

Tverskaya Street, 5/6, Moscow, Russia, 125009

About the company:

The Moscow Drama Theater named after M. N. Ermolova since 1937 is located in an ancient building, the basis of which is one of the largest mansions on Tverskaya Street, built in the 1830s. It was once the Musin-Pushkin Palace.

This is one of the few surviving buildings on Tverskaya Street, which was rebuilt from the family palace for Postnikova’s passenger shop. Perestroika was made in the neoclassical style by the architect S.S. Eybushits.

Part of the premises of the passage was occupied by the hotel of the same name and furnished rooms "Brussels". In another part of the building was a shopping center.

Now the building is an elegant two-storey palace, the facade of which is decorated with sculptures of Atlanteans.
