Moscow Academic Theatre of Satire
About the company:
The history of the emergence of the building of the theater of Satire is taken from the distant pre-revolutionary years, when there was a circus of the Nikitin brothers. Then, when the circus due to lack of food for animals left, the Moscow Music Hall entered here, then the Operetta Theater was formed from the music hall circus, and only then the Satire Theater. In 1963, the building underwent a major renovation and became more like a theater than a circus. From the old building remained only the dome, which from a bird's eye view resembles a flying saucer. In May 2002, the theater museum opened in the building of the Satire Theatre.
