Moscow State Academic Children's Musical Theatre named after N.I.Sats
About the company:
“The Eighth Wonder of the World” is called this truly unique theater, above which the Blue Bird soars – the Bird of Happiness on a golden harp, which became the emblem of the theater. This theater is extraordinary... Spacious lobby with sofas, openwork bridges over the foyer, from where the guys greet the heroes of their favorite fairy tales. What funny doorknobs! They have the shape of a violin key. Melodic phone call, not like a regular... Caring, friendly teachers who meet the audience If you climb the marble staircase into the rotunda - an aviary for birds. There is a lot of light, through transparent glass you can see the blue sky. In the upper foyer there is a spacious hall with sculptures of Lel, playing the pipe, Boyan, going through the strings of the harps and Orpheus with a kifara. And next to the unique "giant Palekh box" - nowhere in the world there are such panels in the height of a person. This room with a secret - it's musical. On the panel scene from “Ruslan and Lyudmila” by M. Glinka, “Snow Maiden” by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, “The Magic Flute” by V. A. Mozart, “Romeo and Juliet” by W. Shakespeare. Everything here serves children to the smallest detail. A mailbox on a tree trunk, under which a bronze bear cub settled. Buffet in the winter garden. A room for younger brothers and sisters. Children who still find it difficult to watch the play to the end can play with theater teachers, listen to fairy tales and even participate in the orchestra of musical toys. Nothing is broken, nothing is broken. The boys take care of their theater. In the Children's Musical there are two halls: the Big one - for 1,100 seats with three stages: one main and two side ones, with a fantastic theatrical curtain on the theme of N. Rimsky-Korsakov's opera Sadko, and the Small one - for 300 seats, concert. The whole atmosphere of the theater is filled with faith in the great power of art, the desire to approach the noblest of arts - Music. And how wonderful it is when a person can come into contact with the world of theater and music already in early childhood. This can have a huge impact on his moral character, on the whole subsequent life. November 21, 1965. On this day, the premiere of M. Krasev’s opera Morozko opened the Moscow State Academic Children’s Music Theatre – the world’s first professional theater, where high musical art – opera, ballet, symphony – is addressed to young people. Now the theater bears the name of its founder - Natalia Ilyinichna Sats.
