Japanese garden

About the company:

The exhibition "Japanese Garden" was opened to visitors on July 10, 1987. It was designed by landscape architect Ken Nakajima, architect Takeo Adachi and construction firm Watanabe-Tomi. At the initiative and material support of the Japanese Foundation and the memorial association of the exhibition EXPO-70, with the assistance of the Embassy of Japan in Moscow, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Lviv Forestry Institute, the Zakarpatles Association. Cascades of small waterfalls, ponds with islands, pavilions in traditional Japanese architectural style, a thirteen-thousand pagoda and stone lanterns help visitors to believe in the harmony of nature and human activity, a clear example of which is the Japanese Garden. The exhibition has more than 100 species of plants, many of which are brought from the Japanese island of Hokkaido - this is the famous sakura, David's elm, Japanese rhododendron, mono maple and many others. As it should be, the garden has its own unique charm every season of the year. In winter it is deserted, whitewashed, strict. Snow caps lie on the roofs of the pavilions, the pagoda and the Yukimi-toro lantern specially designed for admiring the snow. Real spring begins with the flowering of bright yellow forsytia and blue brunera. Admire cherry blossoms - a symbol of Japan - should be in late April - early May. It blooms, as well as at home, only 3-4 days, but it is not for nothing that the Japanese revere these days for a holiday. After the cherry blossom apricots and rhododendrons. Irises mark the beginning of summer by flowering, passing the blue-purple relay to silver lavender and pink spirea shields to the Japanese. Flowers of Kuril tea, similar to gold coins, shine on the bushes until late autumn. An amazingly beautiful time in the Japanese Garden is autumn. Crimson-red maple leaves, pink birchbear boxes, dark purple leaves of rhododendrons create the illusion of re-flowering. The garden invites everyone interested in the culture and traditions of Japan to the exhibition from May to mid-October daily, except Monday and Thursday from 12 to 18, Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 20 hours.
