In 1913, Moscow grew in breadth and height, so that the spectacular five-storey Savoy perfectly fit into its appearance. One of the luxurious pre-revolutionary hotels that has survived to this day is the Savoy. It appeared in 1913 at the intersection of two ancient streets: Cannon and Christmas.
