What is the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (VDNKh)? And where is this national economy?

There is no national economy, but there is an exhibition! This is a miracle in Moscow. And this miracle arose in the distant 30s, almost before the Great Patriotic War. And both the generation of people of that time and VDNKh life was divided into two parts: Before the war and after.

VDNKh – in short, now it is the history of the USSR, frozen in stone. The palace-pavilions symbolizing the republics of the Soviet Union will tell us about those already distant years, will boast of their decoration. Each of them is made from materials brought from the respective republic. One better than the other! For example, the pavilion Uzbekistan is considered one of the masterpieces of architecture of the USSR of the 1950s.

The famous fountains “Friendship of Peoples” and “Stone Flower” now make an indelible impression, and what to say about the 50s of the 20th century! One of them did not spare gold, and the other can become an example of author’s enterprise and ingenuity.
