Andreevsky bridge
Description:
Andreevsky Bridge of Moscow was built according to the project of Proskuryakov. In 1999, it was moved to the area of Gorky Park and installed on special supports. The old Alexander Bridge was converted into a pedestrian bridge that connects the Frunze embankment and the Neskuchny Garden.
The bridge has both an open and a glazed part. In the process of transformation, escalators and stairs were attached to it from the side of the embankment. But partly the monument itself has been preserved: in the modern version of the bridge you can observe the historical arch, the length of which is 135 meters, supports of stone.
The neoplasms and historical parts of the bridge are painted in different colors, the tones favorably emphasize each other. The bridge resembles a ship. It overlooks the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Kremlin, the Sparrow Mountains and the Andreevsky Monastery and other historical places of Moscow.
The original bridge and from the side of the Neskury Garden. It is decorated as a wooden pergola on the foundation of piles, whose diameter is 250 millimeters.
