Automobile street

Auto factory street is located in the South Moscow administrative district. Avtozavodskaya street extends from Velozavodskaya Street and reaches the Avtozavodsky Bridge. Numbering of houses is made from Velozavodskaya Street. Until 1938, this street bore different names: Amovskaya Street, the passage of Amovsky Boulevard. The street received these names from the automobile enterprise AMO (Joint Stock Machine Building Society) founded here in 1916. In 1938, these streets were connected, and this street acquired its current name in honor of the automobile factory named after I.A. Likhachev.
