Description:
Bottomless lake is one of the relict type lakes located in the suburbs. It was formed as a result of thermokarst processes. At a depth of about 4.5 metro is a sluggish bottom. The lake is fed by several underground streams. The diameter of the lake is about 35 meters. Many times with the help of ropes of different lengths, people tried to measure the depth of this reservoir from time to time. No one knew its exact depth. This is where its modern name comes from – Bottomless Lake. This lake has no solid shores. To enter the lake is possible only from the pier. The lake has a constant rounded shape, which does not change from century to century.
