The Great Krasnoholm Bridge
Description:
The Great Krasnokholmsky Bridge in Moscow is considered one of the longest in the entire historical part of the capital, its length is 725 meters, starting from the Kosmodamian embankment and ending with the Kotelnicheskoye embankment. The building accommodates 8-lane traffic and allows you to get from People's Street to Taganskaya Square, and is also part of the Garden Ring.
Back in the XVIII century, the bridge was wooden and connected Taganka and Zamoskvorechye. Like other “living” floating bridges of the city, it was often subjected to spring floods, after which the structure had to be rebuilt.
Now from here you can see the beautiful embankments: Krasnokholmskaya, Kosmodamianovskaya and Kotelnicheskaya, and also admire the unique views of the Tagansky hill.
Getting to the bridge is very easy. Very close to the metro station Taganskaya, and on the other hand a little further station Paveletskaya and Paveletsky station, and there are several buses.
