Church of the Merciful Savior
Russia, Moscow, Youth Street, 2s5
Description:
The Church of the All-Merciful Savior is located in the Kuskovo estate on the shore of the Palace Pond in Moscow. The temple was built in 1737-1739 by Count Peter Borisovich Sheremetev, who inherited Kuskovo from his father. The temple has lush baroque forms inherent in the era of Anna Ioannovna. After the revolution, a museum was founded in the estate, and the church building was used as a storage.
The church, in all its glory, has been preserved to our time, which makes it a bright and valuable monument of the capital. It was reconstructed and re-consecrated in 1991 and is now protected as an architectural monument.
