Trinity Church in the Tanners
Russia, Moscow, 2nd Kozhevnichesky Lane, 4/6.
Description:
Its current appearance of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity in Kozhevniki in Moscow owes, first of all, to Archpriest Alexander Zaitsev. This man, for 22 years, literally rebuilt it to bits. In 1992, the building of the church was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church, consecrated and thanks to this person completely restored.
The church was built at the request of Moscow tanners who lived in this area of the capital, in 1965. Already in the next century, a bell tower was built here, the author of this project was the then famous architect Ivan Zarudny.
After the Bolsheviks came to power, the church was closed and gradually came into operation. In the eighties, the authorities attempted to reconstruct the building to create a concert hall. At this time, it was possible to restore even the original shape of the windows and domes, which are preserved to this day.
The church took its final form, thanks to the efforts of Alexander Zaitsev. At the church there are circles for studying the biblical language and history, as well as a unique center for getting rid of pathological addictions. Moreover, this refers not only to alcohol or drug addiction, occult hobbies and even overeating are debunked.
