Moscow, Ostankinskaya 1st, 7, p. 2
Description:
The Church of the Trinity of Life Original in Ostankino is known for the fact that this temple was used at different times not only for direct divine services. Firstly, it is part of the museum's Ostoman complex, and there are often excursions.
And in the nineties on the territory of the temple was the courtyard of the famous Optina of the desert, and services here were already carried out according to the monastery. Many people came to confession here. Moreover, on weekends, the procedure of confession often ended late at night, since the monks took their duties very seriously and did not allow any hasty formalities.
The history of the construction of the temple is in many ways similar to other Moscow churches. Initially, several wooden churches were built on the territory of Ostankino. Which burned after a while. Finally, it was decided to build a stone building. Moreover, the temple was put on a completely new place, since there, where the former churches were built, according to the chronicler, a cruel pestilence passed.
It is noteworthy that the author of the architectural project was the serf architect Peter Potekhin.
Many ancient icons are kept in the temple, but unfortunately last year it was found that they were gradually destroyed by the flames of stearin candles.
