Palace in the Sheremetev estate
Moscow, 15 Troyebrovka Street.
Description:
Big house. The palace is the main building in the country manor of Count Peter Borisovich Sheremetev in Kuskov. The "Big House", as the palace was called in the XVIII century, was built in 1769-1775 and was intended for a solemn reception of guests in the summer. Built of wood in the traditions of Russian architecture, it has two floors - the front and the mezzanine, on a high stone basement, where wine cellars and household premises were located. The architect of the palace is not exactly installed. There are suggestions that it was designed by Carl Blank before even the name of the French academician Devalli was called.
The State Museum-Estate "Kuskovo", one of the most famous and beautiful palace and park ensembles in Moscow.
