Fountain complex "Years of war"

The main alley of the Memorial Complex, located on Poklonnaya Hill of the capital, is decorated with an impressive fountain complex dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The object is located between Victory Square and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War. You can reach it on foot from the metro station “Victory Park” towards Poklonnaya Gora.

The fountain complex is made in the form of five terraces, each of which symbolizes a year of war. Over the water surface rises 1418 water pillars. That is how many days the terrible battles lasted. At night, the complex is illuminated in red. This represents the blood that the Soviet people shed for their country. The complex is quite impressive and everyone, once here, feels sorrow and honors the memory of the dead.
