113209, Moscow, Perekopskaya Street, 7 (Sevastopolskaya).

Description:

One of the ancient churches on the territory of Moscow is the Church of the Holy Martyrs Boris and Gleb. It was built during 1688-1704 in the village of Zyuzino.

The architecture of the temple pleases the eye with the style of Moscow Baroque, although it is modest against the background of other churches of that time, but still always attracts the attention of both parishioners and tourists. On the windows of the church there are no casings, the faces on the eight America are decorated with curly columns and decorated with small pediments. In the lower tier, the windows are drowned in niches in the walls. The upper part of the temple can be reached by an elegant staircase, which gives the building chic and grace. In conclusion, a bell tower was attached to the temple, placed on four pillars, topped with a spire.

In Soviet times, the church was closed and looted: a carved iconostasis was stolen, window and door frames were taken for firewood. After restoration work, the temple was used as a diamond workshop.

Currently, the Church of the Holy Martyrs Boris and Gleb has been fully restored and restored, and a new Sunday school is being built nearby.
