ooh Pokrov, 13, Moscow, Russia
Description:
The Church of the Trinity of Life-Giving on Mud is located in the administrative district of White City, Moscow, and belongs to the Epiphany decency of the Moscow diocese.
The temple was built in 1861, under the project of the Moscow architect M. Bykovsky. Funds for the construction were allocated by adviser E. Molchanov.
In Soviet times, the temple was closed and given in use as a granary. The bell tower and dome of the temple were demolished. Later there was a house of culture and a cinema. In 1990, the center of leisure and recreation was located in the temple building. The temple was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church in 1992. Only in 2009 was completed the restoration of the facades of the temple, but in the future it is necessary to restore the central dome and the bell tower.
The temple was built using samples of Renaissance architecture. The facade of the building is rectangular, 4 pillars, with lowered corner cells and a portico. A dome drum and a multi-tiered bell tower were placed on the roof.
