The Temple of the Life-Giving Trinity on Borisov Ponds

borisovsky, 15, 4, Moscow, Russia

Description:

The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity on Borisov ponds in Moscow is one of the new buildings – its construction was completed in 2004. The building is made in the Byzantine style, like most Orthodox religious buildings in Russia.

However, the temple undoubtedly has a completely unique appearance. Blue with gold domes, crowning the vault of the temple, and rich interior decoration make its image absolutely recognizable.

The interior is striking with its luxury - expensive breeds of marble and gilding are used here. The porcelain iconostasis is also noteworthy, one of the few in Russia, made with great skill. The facade of the building is decorated with bas-reliefs on religious themes.
