Lake Forest Park in Moscow

The lake forest park is located east of the city of Moscow, in the suburbs. It is part of the protective forest-park city belt. It was formed in 1935. The area of the Lake Forest Park is 1791 hectares. In the city of Balashikha is the administration of this forest park. The relief of the Lake Forest Park is slightly wavy, formed by sandy sediments. There are numerous swamps acting as natural filters that feed streams and rivers. On the territory there are several natural monuments: lakes Baboshkino and Yushino river system Pehorka bog-lake complex Meshchersky. In the winter season, ski slopes are created on the territory of the forest park.
